This is just to help you out. I am
not a expert. Plus, If you have a airbag, you will need to disable
it according to your manual.
Tips for a 1990 Jeep Cherokee without Airbag
Picture 1 is
before we start. Ok, pulling the steering wheel was pretty easy.
First off, you need to pull the cover off like in Pictures
2 and 3.
Real easy. Then as you see in the Picture 4, there are 3 Phillips head
screws you will need to remove.
Take the 3 screws off, and as is
Picture
6 pull
the pieces off like so. Then You will need to loosen the main steering wheel
nut. Picture 7 shows me loosing it. In
Picture 8 you notice I did leave the nut
on just a little bit. This will help you later. Sometimes the steering wheel
will "Pop" off and hit you. More so if you try to beat it off. So I left it on to stop the wheel when it breaks
loose.
