FENDER TRIMMING 1

Cost: Cutting - None, Trim - $15

Cause: Wanted good flex room with 31" tires and 3" lift.

Basics: Ok, now after installing my 31 inch tires, I wanted to get more flex. And without hitting my fender flares. So I removed flares, which all the studs broke off. LOL.

Then I used a cordless jigsaw, bad idea, did not have enough power to cut thru the thicker metal on the rear wheel wells. So I opted for a sheet metal snips. These things worked great. smooth cuts. But it was a little hard on the bottom of the rear. Thick stuff.

And as you can see, it left a nice gap on the rear wheel wells. Not good. need to weld those things up one day.

Pros: wheel clearance for larger tires, better flex of wheels.

Cons: cutting body off, stock flares don't really fit now.
