FENDER TRIMMING 2

Cost: Cutting - None, Trim - $15

Cause: Wanted 33" tires with a 4.5" lift

Basics: After test fitting my new 33" tires at the tire shop, I knew my previous trim job wasn't enough. I was going to need to trim more. Mostly at the back side of the front wheel wells. And more overall in the backs.

Since I am running stock control arms. The big tires moving back a little every time I lift it a little more. so of course it would have a tendency to rub on the rear side of the front wheel wells.

Not a problem. A little more cutting and bending and all is good. I didn't want to go too far with the cutting. Then you could see my inner wheel wells from the side. As in the first picture.

Then I rounded out the front a little better. works great.

Finally I finished them out with some wheel well trim from AutoZone. Didn't have the money for new flares yet.

Pros: Clearance for larger tires, Better wheel flex

Cons: Had to cut body, Stock flares will not fit well
