Cost: $150

Cause: The stock bumper was just a plain black XJ bumper. I hated it.

Basics: So, I surfed the web and finally went with a Tubular bumper from 4wheelparts.com It was fairly inexpensive and looks great. Plus strong as hell. I had a tractor push up on it one time to get me unstuck from another trucks bumper and just a small scratch on it. Plus before I got my Tow hooks I used it to put my recovery strap on. Worked great.

Install was easy. Just removed old bumper. Then I knocked off the old nuts that where welded in the frame for the bumper. and installed some huge Grade 8 bolts.

Pros: Looks great, Strong as hell, better approach angle than stock bumper with skirt.

Cons: Price, should have gotten chrome ($100 bucks more)
