POSI-LOCK System

Price: $160 from local 4x4 shop.

Cause: Failure of Stock Vacuum Axle Actuator

Basics: This Posi-Lock system was a good investment. My old vacuum type failed me long ago, and I did not know. Plus my 4x4 part time light was burnt out so I didn't know that It was always engaged.

Spent about 160 on the kit, pretty easy to install. Just follow the directions real good. And you will need a big ass drill bit so you can route the cable thru your firewall. I think it was like over 1/2 inch.

Now that its on and I have used it many times. It has not failed me yet.

Pros: Very reliable, fairly easy install, Cheap compared to new vacuum actuator ($200)

Cons: Engaging/disengaging is a little tricky but easy, need to drill hole in firewall and hole under dash.
